Endowment Fund

The Thursday Music Club has established an Endowment Fund with the Muskingum County Community Foundation. The purpose of the endowment is to generate monies to be used to fund concerts in the Zanesville / Muskingum County Community sponsored by the Music Club and open to the public. Our longstanding tradition includes the Civic Chorus and Orchestra performance of Handel's "Messiah" Oratorio and the Handbell Festival for area bell choirs. We often offer other recitals and concerts for the cultural enhancement of our area. Checks should be made out to the Muskingum County Community Foundation for the Thursday Music Club and sent to the Mrs. Kelly Wright, club treasurer. We have 501 C3 tax exempt status with the IRS so the gift can be a tax deduction for your income tax. We also welcome gifts to be written from your estate.

Special Gifts

The Thursday Music Club offers a Memorial Fund as an opportunity for its members and the community to recognize and honor individuals who have been supportive of music activities in our community. This is often used as an alternative to sending flowers to a funeral home. The Civic Chorus and Orchestra's annual performance of Handel's "Messiah" includes special gifts to help with the expenses of the concert. Gifts to this concert are listed on the concert program as Patron ($50), Benefactor ($100) and Pacesetter ($500). Often grants or individual gifts may sponsor a soloist or members of the orchestra. For further information contact James McLaughlin the chairman of Financial Development Committee. For Special Gifts make your check out to the Thursday Music Club and send to Mrs. Kelly Wright, club treasurer.
